in reading lube charts it calls for less Lube (gear oil) in the MTV 6x6's Intermediate axle than in the LMTV axle. The Intermediate axle has this big arse secondary gear box attached to it sooooo.... only way that made sense to me would be:

1. there is separate oil fill port and sump for the Power Divider.
<<<< Yet.... have found no reference to either existing.

2. Maybe an oil pump is in there that distributes oil up into the Power Divider??
<<<< With much searching found there is what appears to be an oil pump in there. Found reference to that....... well..... sorta. ..... there is conflicting info.. In the repair steps of the intermediate axle it refers to part labed #64 as an oil pump...

but when looking at the parts break down page(s)..... it just calls this same part a spacer? Yet, Using part number in manual... doing parts search for it online through "find it parts" comes up with a Meritor pump (no pic) ... Strange...

- Below is text from parts (24p) referring to same part mentioned earlier and labeled # 62 along with a few other. Interestingly #63 refers to an oil filter, though in drawing it looks like a bolt, but ...if you look up the part; it is a filter

From 24p: Parts manual

1 ......
62. PAHZZ___ 78500___ A3303Q1031___ .SPACER,SLEEVE...................... 1 (....NO MENTION OF A PUMP??? )
63. PAHZZ___ 78500___ A2297D5334___ .FILTER ELEMENT,FLUID.............. 1
64 .....

At this point looks like it is a pump and and 24p (parts break down) has incorrect description for the pump. If that is the case..... then having less oil in the Intermediate axle than the regular LMTV axle makes a little since. What's yalls take on this?
