Just wanted to confirm before purchasing hose and fitting for my winch that the high pressure hydraulic hose was 3/8 100R1, 1 wire.
By the external dimensions that is what it looks like. I did search and could not find it.

As it turns out the hose is identical to 100R1, 1 wire hose. I could not make out the numbers on the old hose so I can not say for CERTAIN that the HMMWV uses 100R1 hose but no doubt it can be replaced by 100R1 hose.
BUT i found some hose at Discounthydraulichose.com (no affiliation) called Hydraulax Tough, it is a special 2 wire hose with twice the working pressure and half the bending radius of 100R1 the dimensions are almost identical (same ID, 20 thousands smaller OD)
AND it has 10X the abrasion resistance (their words) of standard hose, so how could I not try it!! and it "works like a hose" LOL.
But no kidding it fits up with the OEM replaceable fitting just fine, and the 100R1 die settings in my Weatherhead T400 crimper put the fittings for the winch ends square on spec for the Hydraulax hose.
