Power Steering Pump Whines When Off Roading- Normal?

Hey all,

Just wanted to run this by you guys. When heavy off roading such as going over rocks or break torqueing to "lock" the diffs I get a good bit of power steering whine.
Never really hear this when I am just driving around town though.

Is this typical or should I be worried? Verified the fluid levels are good so maybe some air in the system if anything?
