Pre-Luber on e-Bay

Eric - Which brand of pre-luber did you buy? Was it the same brand in the Ebay listing? Most marine equipment is available in both 12V and 24V; the ESP unit on Ebay is available in 24V for about $15 more than the 12V model (pump & motor only) but has only about a 1/4 hp motor. By my calculations you'd need closer to 3/4 or 1 hp to pump enough oil for a Deuce preluber delivering at least 8 gpm at 10+ psi. Maybe you can exchange your preluber for a 24V model.

Hey,
I bought another unit on e-Bay, the price was less than half the retail price, my unit is 12v.

I thought some of the guys would like a different approach to the preluber question, I guess until I can fab one up using some surplus u-boat bilge pump motors driving the hydraulic motor from a Caterpillar earthmover, using a powersupply crafted from nasa apollo computer drives I will be relagated as one of those guys who just "buys everything" I guess I will go back to the shop and work on these non-mil doors:
