PS-164 R7 in trans???

Does anyone know if PS-164 R7 (PS-164 Rev 7) synthetic oil is ok to use in the transmition? The only information I can find is that it's a SAE 50wt synthetic oil that is used in a lot of big rigs.

should be ok. not the first time I have head of 50w oil in the trains and axles.
