Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Yeah, um, about that. Its been a busy summer and bla bla bla. The new Hewitt gauge hasa different hookup than the Stewart Warners. So to swap back and forth I would have to change the prob and leadwires too. I have compared my temps at idle and running with other trucks and get similar temps, so I am going to let it ride. Sorry for the let down. Hows that saying go? Something about best laid plans...
Why do today, what you can put off till tomorrow?steelandcanvas said:At least you're an honest procrastinator
Did you ever get your Hewitt gauges going? I ordered a boost and pyro today with red LED back light, white numbers, black bezel, and black dial. Maybe I'll have them in, hooked up, and a baseline before you! Daylight's burnin'!Hey Gimp! Back in March you were going to get back with us about your pyro. Did the project get put on hold
Got the Hewitt installed in Kipman's truck. It worked great, but is smaller than the SW gauges and harder to read at a glance. Not a deal breaker, just wanted you guys to know.
Get back to us incase you need a wreckerI just got mine installed last weekend. I can't wait to turn up the fuel to see how she will run.
I was told the rear gets hotter than the front, so I used that one.
