Just replaced all the gear oil in truck. Today I noticed my rear diff is leaking where the drive shaft enters the housing. When I drained it surprisingly very little drained-
maybe a quart, anyhow I filled the housing upto the filler hole- probably a little over 2.5 qts. I know I know it calls for just 2.5 qts. Now for some reason (probably Murphys law of green iron)
I have this leak. My question is this: is there a seal in the housing at the drive shaft? And if so
Can it be replaced without pulling apart the rear end( a nightmare I really dont wish to deal with right now) looking forward to suggestions
