Rear Differential Broke

Yep. It went bang a couple times before I could get it stopped. Hole in back cover. Drive shaft turns but ain't nothing happen'n inside. I'll get it up in the air and see what is broken. Being in Texas, I found militarytrucks.com north of Austin and they advertise GM 10 bolt rear axle G-80 locker 3.08. I'm in the early stages of depression but if you guys know a salvage yard with 1009's, let me know.

Got a take out drum to drum '09 axle here in Houston that needs a home. Can put it on a pallet and motor freight it to you.

Fort Davis is a small place. I don't know if I can get it up to look at it tomorrow but I don't see how that axle could be salvageable. I'll talk to my mechanic. Can you give me a phone or email. Your plan sounds like a really good fit. I worked in Conroe 10+ years before coming out West. Lived in Corinthian Point on Lake Conroe.
