Rear hub flip

I am thinking of flipping the rear hubs to single out the deuce. I have been working on big rigs for years. They run the same fluid in the diff to lube the bearings and the wheel seal is used to seal diff fluid and not grease. From what I understand the deuce bearings are grease packed and not lubed by diff fluid. Is this correct and if so what keeps diff fluid from getting down the axle tube to the axle wheel ends?
