After have my crank busted on my rear window for about 5 mounths i final got all the parts today and put them on. I was wored that it would not roll down after i replaced the crank and as i feard it is stuck up, atleast the drivers side is. My window crank broke in the mid of winter this year when i started to roll it down and it was down about 9-10 inch from the top when it broke. So i climbed in side and took the panel off the gate and unbolted the window from the regulatore and pushed the window up in the close position. Then every cplg of weeks i would have to climd back and push up just the pasenger side because it would start to slide down, but the driver side never even moved a bit. I am thinking when i slid it up it must have got above the track somehow and now it is stuck on that side. Will get out there tommarow with a light and see if i can stick my head in there and see what is going on. Any thouths from my brothers and sisters out there on the old SS form would be great.

Well sence no feed back to my thread i ges i will talk to my self. As i thought it was hung up on the left side glass channel not because it was above it but because it is cracked on one side and is catching the glass. So lubed it up real good and took it apart a cple of times to get it fixed. That channel is pritty wore out, so this will have to do untill i get some cash to get two new ones to replace both sides.

If you can fix the channel so it is sturdy again you can re-felt the channels with regular felt. I picked some up at Ace Hardware and some strong adhesive. When I put everything back in I also noticed the glass would hit/slide on the regulator and added some felt on the middle part of the regulator that covers the teeth. I took a picture of my old regulator and outlined the area I am talking about because I added the felt on the regulator while it was still in the tailgate. I hope this helps.
