recalibrate speedometer?

I searched, but the few threads on this seemed to be all related to the deuce. Is it possible to recalibrate the speedo on my M1009 to compensate for my 34" tires?

Use the search function on the left side of the Page, under the "who's on line list". Do an Advanced search, only in the CUCV forum. I know this has been covered in a few threads. Yes you can.

More to the point. It is a plastic gear.

All you need is a gear calculator. You plug in the numbers and it will tell you which gear you need.

Don't forget the 1009 will need the speedo reduction box removed if you are just plugging in numbers to find the gears.
