Yea, I have seen this before. If you look close the switches are on the other side of the dash. I like this set up. I looks cleaner and easier to work on the IP without all the stuff in the way. "Stuff" in a technical term. I can not give you details on performance as I have not had an M35 with this setup.

That looks like how the M151 heaters I have will mount up. The heater made for the deuce id 30k BTU, the 151 heaters are 20K, or so I have been told.

One of my TN trucks had the 151 heater on the firewall. Wasn't ducted to the defroster but makes plenty of heat. You can see a little bit of it here.
