Reconstructed title in New Jersey. Crew Cab M35A2

So weather is good and Brute looks like he needs some attention. I have new fenders to replace my rusted out ones and I scored a cab from GL. So if I do the Crew cab to Brute, do I need to get a reconstructed title from MV? I am not removing an axle. Just shortening the bed and adding the extra cab. We need this when we go camping for our three dogs to go with us. Any help is appricated. If it is a big issue I am going with stock cab.
