Take I75 north to I-275 to I-94 East towards Port Huron (but you're not going that far). It will take you right to Selfridge. Depending on which gate you need to enter, your exits should be 237 or 240. Call ahead and get their advice on the exit. Take same route back. The roads suck so be carefull of the potholes, been known to swallow a few school buses, freight trains, and such. Good luck, be safe, have fun and above all else, don't forget to post pictures!

Selfridge Advice

I made a recovery of a trailer at Selfridge a couple of weeks ago and learned a few tips. First, make sure the GL folks know for sure what day you are coming so they can call the security people to give you clearance to get in. You will need to enter Selfridge from the main gate on the north side of the base off of M-59. Before you go up to the guard gate you will need to stop at the building on your right as soon as you turn off M-59. This is where you get your vehicle pass. Go in there with your registration, proof of insurance and driver's license and they will give you a pass. Drive from there to the main guard shack and he/she will check your pass and say you are good to go. To get to the GL site on base drive straight ahead on the road you are coming in on. Eventually it will make a 90 degree turn to the left and go past a bunch of hangers. You will come to a stop sign where you turn right. Follow this road keeping the golf course to your right and you will come to the GL building and fenced in yard to your left. Go inside and tell them you are there for your truck. Leave the base the same way you came in - there is no need to stop anywhere on the way out. I've got a couple more trailers to pick up there as soon as the EUC clears. Did you buy the M35A2 w/w that I saw sitting there?

Deuce recovered from Selfridge!

Had a great recovery today. I appreciate all the help and tips. It was great to go prepared.
We left yesterday and stopped by to donate to greektown casino (i dont want to talk about that) Then got a hotel.
Arrived at base about 8 am and met Joe and another guy who were very helpfull. Went to work airing up tires, clean windows, check out truck, and added napa muffler and installed a personal heater (hairdrier and generater) And took off at 10:18
Arrived home about 2:45pm at resteraunt. Thanks to all
