Removing GL war paint

I tried searching but really had no idea what to plug in. Anyways, does anyone have a good way of removing that yellow crayon looking baked on writing from the paint on the hoods? Someone must have been having a ball, they wrote about 6 different lines of information on the hood. I tried brake cleaner and noticed the paint started rubbin off and created a glossy finish on the CARC paint. I thought CARC was suppose to be impervious to strong solvents like this. Any ideas?

I tried acetone. It removed the glossy finish left by the brake cleaner and got most of the paint off. However if you know what you're looking for, you can see it. Oh well time for some paint.
