Whenever I return from a drive in my deuce I shift the transfer case into low--it makes getting into the drive easier without having to touch the clutch. Is this repeated shifting of the T-case okay? I don't want to wear it out! Thanks.

In my limited (1 year or so) of driving Shorty I have not had any problems with t-case shifting and I use both ranges all the time.

With the 52's, it's almost a necessity to start out in low range 2nd gear, run through 5th, then shift to high range 4th and 5th. It's kind of a pain, but works.

So once you get to 5th low, it's ok to shift transfer on the fly to high and hit 4 and 5 high? Clutch in or out?

How about engaging front axle on the fly?
