Run away motor on the deuce

Need help. Just put a fuel injector pump on a LDT 465-1D motor.
Every time we start it up the motor runs a full power. NOT FUN!! Sounds like the truck is trying to kill itself.
Were do I go to find out what the heck is making this truck run full blast.

I'll bet that the governer is stuck at WOT, you will nee to open the cover on the pump and make sure the linkage is moving inside when you move the pedal.

Is the shaft where the throttle arm bolts on at the idle position when the lever is at idle?

Eddiec had this problem with one of his trucks...it was the shaft in the IP for the fuel rack it was stuck wide open...you might pm him and ask him what he did to fix it...he took part of the pump apart....not sure what how he did it. I was there when it started though and we where scrambling to get it shut off.

Did you ever figure out how to fix the injector pump? I just put one on my truck and it is doing the same thing as yours
