?'s on intank pump.

is there a TM with a diagram or does anybody have some pic's of what the pump assm looks like so that when I remove mine I can try and put the piece back in that fell out.

There are little metal plates and screens that fall out of the bottom on occasion. Without the little metal plate the impeller is completely exposed and can't pump. I've found these parts in the bottom of tanks on more than one occasion.

Another anomaly of these pumps is their apparent ability to work outside the tank ut not inside. I've come to determine that bad pumps will start working upside down. If you test your pump outside the tanks don't check it upside down. Perhaps play and brush wear cause this.

I had one that wouldn't work. The bottom plate fell out. I tapped it back in and crimped the edge, no more problems.
