Seabee markings

Here is a link to a USN Seabee equipment management instruction. Pages 122 thru 128 give some insight to current marking procedures. Notice that the NSN numbers for the stencil are for only an 8" and a 4" stencil, not a left and right version of each size. Also calls out glossy yellow yellow paint for marking on OD paint and flat black on camo paint. The 4" stencil (That I have) is for when space is limited.

Chris, seems that the lettering is black the fighting bee logo is yellow on most of the vehicles I've seen. Your dad's truck is a Seabee truck too right? My pipeline was just green with black lettering and the yellow fighting bee stencil. Seabee trucks and clones of same are really starting to show up now. FWIW, when the tractor gets repainted, it may take on the logo as well. Just as Vtdeucedriver has made all his trucks from the 545 Transortation Co, I may do the same for my meager motor pool.
