I got my first M35A2 from Ft. Lewis a few months ago with MilitaryRestorations help (Story here: http://steelsoldiers.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=21080). That truck didn't have a winch, and after looking at winch prices, it made sense to get a winch truck, put the winch on my truck, and re-sell it. I won a M35A2 W/W on 6/5, Submission of EUC Pending 06/05/2008,
EUC revisions requested from Customer 06/09/2008, EUC sent to Battle Creek 06/12/2008. On Wednesday (6/25) My bank account went down by the invoice amount, but the GL website still showed the EUC as sent to Battle Creek. I recieved my paid invoice last night (6/26), and as of now (6/27) the GL site still shows the EUC as sent to Battle Creek. Kinda odd. It seems like DRMS is doing a better job of getting EUC's approved faster? This was my first one, and it took 13 days total. I'm heading down to Ft. Lewis on Monday to pick her up. A member here, choll, was able to look over the truck a few weeks ago, and even start it up. Everything checked out good. I'll still be taking everything (Fluids, filters, tools), but its nice to know it runs. I'll post some pics and the story in the Road Trips section Tuesday or so. Anyone else going to be at Lewis on Monday?

54reo: I also wondered what that was. It sort of looks like the fording snorkle in the M211 I used to have. It was right about that position in the dash, but maybe a touch smaller. I have never seen an in cab fording port on the M35 series truck, so I'm not sure. I'll let you guys know Tuesday, if I can figure out what it is. I'll at least post more detailed pics of it.

Check the frame #'s. One of mine was good #'s frame and title. One has parshall frame # on title and the other was one # off. Paint remover should be on sticky list for pickup. Maybe a cordless drill and wire wheel? 8)

Well we made it home in one piece. Had a few minor issues, too tired and busy with work and getting ready for the 4th to write the story now, I'll get it posted in MV road trips and put the link here sometime soon.
