Separating wheel & Rim

Trying to get a tire off of a 5 ton rim.

I've read this thread: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?126028-How-to-remove-tire-from-MRAP-wheels

But I'm either not applying enough force, or doing something wrong.

So far:
Removed air
Unbolted rim halves.
Removed outside bead lock.
Put remaining wheel on tree stump and pried tire off bead lock, and it dropped down most of the way off the wheel. (Looks like there's a couple inches more to go.) Then stopped.

And this is where I'm stuck. Was I supposed to pull the entire air assembly from the wheel? (And if so, how do you get out?) Feels like the tire is hitting something and stopping it's progress.

The runflat is hitting the "air assembly", rotate the wheel so the air assembly is pointing up, you may still have to do some prying to get the bead past the air assembly.

There's a notch in the inner bead lock, so I think I cleared that as it rotates freely.

More prying it is. I'll try the shop crane trick. I think I'm down to the bead on the air assembly.

Your trying to get tire and run flat off correct? There is a groove in the run flat for the valve stem. The end sticks out just enough to catch the bead on the tire when your trying to get it off. I used a big thin pry bar to get it around it. You can use other things but I was using it anyway.
