I'm doing a complete tune up on my 270 motor. According to the book the rotor should be pointing at the #6 cylinder, not #1, when at the TDC (BUDC) mark on the flywheel.. Can anyone shed any light on this? Also, will a 12v timing light work on a 6v system? If necessary I have a 12v battery I can hook it to and just put the pick up on the plug wire.
