Shackle tubes

Greetings... I need to make up a set of shackle tubes for mounting the shackles. Anyone know the o.d. of the metal tubing ?

Not sure of the size you need but if you are making some changes are you sure you want to use the stock shackles, they are known to be weak. Companies like ORD make new shackles and mounts that are much better but they are not the same size they also make grease shackles which help in articulation and noise. I have no idea what you are building, you may want to specify because I am not sure the 1009 use the same size shackles as the other cucv's. I would find a quality shackle and build specific to the better shackle and not the stock.

elaborate on what you are building and you will probably get better responses.

If it were me, I'd try to find some off a cucv that was being parted out. Easier to buy than fabricate. Maybe check some of the vendors here that part out CUCVs
