Shut-Off Solenoid

I need to replace the shut-off solenoid on my injection pump. 1984 m1009. I've found a company on the net that sell replacemnet units. Diesel Care and Performance: Stanadyne 12 Volt Solenoid

The site advertises this unit for 12 volt systems, I've read on SS that the 24v system is only used by the starter and glow plugs. Will this unit operate on the m1009?

yes it will, its the standard part, the 24v solenoid is only used on the humvees (since they are full 24v)

I just got a new one today locally, $50, so shop around you can save some $$

I got the new solenoid installed plus two Catipillar 1000CCA batteries, those B's are huge. BigGirl starts first time every time!!!
