Is there any compound to treat soft top material? MIne has various wrinkles,etc that appear thinner.I was wondering about some sort of waterproof?

I was recommended Vinylex by a local upholstery shop that also does convertible tops and boat tops/covers. They've been in business for 50+ years and that's what they use. Said regular treatment should prevent the material from dry rotting as is pretty common.
Not sure if it offers any sort of waterproofing or if it can be used with other waterproofing treatments though...
