Soft top windshield channel

I got a good top from a member here recently. It is missing the plastic channel that is sewn on and slides into the windshield. Anyone have one?

Gimpy I should have one the old soft top that was on the duece is sitting in my garage, I'll send you a PM if I can locate it.

Ive used a piece of rope in mine. Has worked for years. When I was looking for one, no one had any. Called a business that made tops and they turned me onto the rope trick.

I thought about that as thats what the canvas tops use. I wasn't sure the plastic tops had enough "lip" there. You got any pics?

The new tan top I got from SMG had the rope and not the plasic.

Chris, were you not able to get one from GMA? I thought they would sell them seperate?

I was going to check, but other life things got in the way. I will look into it soon.

so how did this play out.. picture of the rope? GMA? if rope is used how is it attached to top? or is seam overhang and jam rope into lip.
askin as my plastic is cracked.. and me thinks it will need replacing soon..
