hbear, here in the US we have what is called "certificate of title", it is a government issued document that contains the manufacturer, serial number, type of vehicle, and the name of the owner. No documents are issued with the vehicle that list anything about the engine emission or safety of the vehicle. I am not sure how we can help you.

I'm a little confused here I guess. If all you need are the dimensions could you possibly print that out of the TM or possibly take the whole TM to show them?

Most of the MV's here are exempted from "conformity" issues by Federal Code.

I think he means EU conformity which means up to date conformity OR he needs a certified paper saying that the truck is 25 years or older for historic plates, Robo had about the same hoops to jump though when he registered his m51.

As in Italia you must use an agency. Are you trying this direct with the DMV? Like Italian Spain's DMV is so corrupt that you must use a agency and PAY to get your documents. It sucks that a person can't go direct and do it his self but the Latino attitude is everyone needs to work!

Our EC law says we can travel, live and work throughout the EC and all EC registrations must be accepted when changing our residency (hope I spelled that right!). Sounds cool but to bad NONE of the Southern European countries respect this. I'm sure Spain has the same system as Italy as in you can either wait years and try and do it your self or use an agency. I bought a renault kangoo 4x4 in holland with all the papers correct and took it to my local dmv for Italian registration and they purposely delay you to get you to use an agency. If I go direct I pay €50,00 max but wait years. If I use an licensing agency 1 week and €700,00! Most of these people owning these agency's are ex DMV! CORRUPT!
I kept the Dutch registration and plate on the car and found a way to insure it as is.
NO police can stop you from doing this route. You won't blend it with the locals but who cares!
