Speedometer drive cable fix/ replacement m925a2?

My M925a2 5 ton speedometer quit working on a cold day exercise of the truck. I figure the drive cable twisted in two. Will the aftermarket cable insert kits work to replace the drive cable ? Do I need a whole new cable? Anyone out there been there done that? Mark

Yes I would get the complete cable assy and replace it. Just a new core cable may not fit the other casing.
