Does anyone know the exact teeth count in a M1009 th400 trans for the speedometer gear.

There’s supposed to be an adapter that goes in between the Speedo cable and the housing for the transfer case. The m1008 does not have this.
My adapter recently failed so I removed it and put in a 34 count gear and housing ( it’s still about 5mph off) , but it functions smoothly now .
