spellCheck problems

I am having trouble with SpelChek on my office computer. It will run SpelChek when you click the button and highlight the misspellings but when you correct them it doesn't change in the post. On my laptop, it highlights the misspelled words as you type and you can right click and correct them.

I am a diehard Netscape fan and refuse to change to IE. I suspect that is the problem but thought I would post here to see if anyone has any other ideas. I am running Netscape 8.1.3 at the office and an older version on the laptop. Both have updated windows XP on them.

The SpelChek seemed to go poo-poo about a week ago. I noticed this as well. It seemed to "lock" after selecting, "Finish Checking" or, "Insert in Document." Only one time, recently, I got a flag that said something about, "Subscription Expired." It's caused me to have to get out a dictionary a few times.

I got a message saying I was trying to edit or modify a thing I didn't have permission to do

I don't get any messages, it just doesn't correct the spelling in the post. I have on idea why my laptop still works but my office computer doesn't.

Will, just type at your leisure and hit the send button. ACE wil be along shortly and reply to your post indicating all the spelling and gramatical errors then you just go back and correct them.

ACE here Kenny. The newer friendlier kind..my spell checker is getting tired and I just do not respond to those who spent more time on dope than in spelling tests... lost cause...but the break, brake one always gets my goat, and not gamma goat which is properly Gama Goat after the designer.. Best regard, or is it regards, singular versus plural.. and no possessive apostrophe...ha ah ..

In my old unfriendly mode, I would have said to the original poster here that if he had spent more time paying attention in school, he would have no need for spell checker, but I don't do that any more. My new M715 is the nuts.. original and here... yea and living with the other 20 MV
