What is this part name and what exactly that part is for and if needed to be plugged to something or not.

The part is the one under the flange of the rear output.

i'm just asking if something need to be plugged like tranny remote oil cooler. I have only the tranny and just want to be sure BEFORE fitting everything under.

I don't know what to say. The 3 I have sitting out of trucks, have a plastic cap in there. The one in my truck has nothing. I'm waiting for the pics to download.

Mine seems to have some type of sealant in it. The TM 9-2520-246-34-1 manual shows a "lever" attached there. I am thinking that on some versions there is a stud installed there that is used as a pivot point for some type of control linkage. Maybe for a truck like the auger/post hole drill.

Are we still guessing what that blind hole is for...?

What about a 1/2"-13 threaded stud as pivot for the lever which is part of the shift linkage between transmission and the T-136-21 Sprag TC? Knowingly that linkage is obsolete if the T-136-27 Air shift TC is used...
