Don't forget about Crispy now, she's still running strong! Even with the bad winter storms, it handled the icy roads rather well compared to my 4x4 pick up. It's also been my vehicle to drive out when hunting, no bogs on the dirt trails even phase it. She's worthy of your vote!

They are all nice-looking rigs, while I like the motor pool class and the Mod's class my vote goes to the hard work put into the restorations.
As said, these projects don't happen overnight, 10 years to collect all the correct original parts, and then, 2 years of a one man show restoration, though my wife helped me install the windshield frame. I tried to make it a quality resto all the way around.

So only 39 people voted?? Really? We had over 60 votes in some of these MV of the month challenges. There's over a thousand members on here, surely it won't kill y'all to take a few mins and vote, this is after all, the MV of the year!

We actually have over a Hundred thousand members. Problem is, the ones who didn't vote, probably won't see this thread.

While I was doing my restoration, a Vietnam veteran V100 operator from Chicago was following along. He showed some pictures at one of the 630th MP reunions and said "This crazy guy in Texas is restoring one of our cars!".
Shortly afterwards he asked if some of them could come look at it. I told him "Absolutely!", not only to look but to drive it as well.
Five of them came down (on one of the hottest days of summer, it was 112*). As he was climbing in, the first chap to drive it said "It's been 40 years, I don't even remember how to start it!". Thirty seconds later, the V started, he said "I just closed my eyes and let my hands do it".
It was fun watching them drive around the farm, hollering like the kids they were the last time they were in one.
They drove it 'til they broke it, then helped push it back into the shed. Afterwards we sat around while they reminisced and told stories of their experiences. I learned more about V100 operations in one afternoon than I had in the previous 20 years.

Cheers

@patracy, am I in the right cast of folks here? My truck was truck of the year for 2021 so I would think that I'm not eligible for it again. Whoever was truck of the month for Jan. 2022 should be in my spot...or maybe I'm more confused than I first thought.
OOOPS! You won Jan 2021. NOT 2022. I've swapped kendelrio in place of you. I'm sorry. @fsearls92 and @german m1008 your votes are still there for spot number one. But I've corrected it. Please update your votes as you wish.
