Stowage Mock-Up

Here is how I'm planning to add some stowage to my MM923. The case is a leftover from adding the battery relocation kit. I had a couple of ammo boxes so I picked up the rack to mount them. The last thing was the tow bar. I'm out of space on the truck where to store things and this is what I thought might work "well". I tried mounting the tool box under the bed near the rear axle, but could not make it work.

I'm looking for some critique before I drill any holes. I'll obviously swap out the wood 2x6 for c-channel steel. The set up does not interfere with the drop side and side loading.

Any thoughts? Good or bad...

Thanks,

The under bed solution offered by those military guys for the tow bar won me over. I ordered a kit and waiting for it to come in. THey convinved me it was rock solid. 2 bolts through the rear collars and one bolt through where the pin goes to both legs. The mounts straddle both storage rods for the bows.

I can shoot pics when I get the kit.

If I read your message correctly, I will lose my bow stowage, correct? I don't want to lose that as I have the cargo cover off most of the time.

Only thing I would say with your setup is: If you are hauling stuff (anything big, blocky or heavy) you may have issues getting to the tow bar if you break down. I don't know what your access/ability is to get in from the cab side of the box. Just my $0.02 on concerns, beyond that? it looks great!

Thanks for the comments. Unless I hear any fatal flaws, I'll be drilling the holes this weekend and finding some C channel.
