Supporting the Engine without a lift to facilitate motor mount swap

The wooden block and bottle jack on the oil pan does work. The transmission mount will act to stabilize the whole thing. When i get it high enough to do the work, some carefully placed wooden wedges act as "jackstands". I usually get them between the crossmember and the oil pan. If the bottle jack fails or something else happens, the wedges keep my fingers attached to me. I'm funny about that.
