Swing fire heater how to?

Trying to figure out how to use a swing fire heater. Found an accessory TH but not usefull. If you have any knowledge to share I would be greatfull.

If that is the HMMWV arctic heater, you should only use that when the ambient temp is below 0 F. And should only be used on HI if the temp is below -25 F.
