TF727 to a518 Swap?

Any one try this?, im thinking it in my m880 or m886, i came across a brain storm on doing this, i am almost sold on the idea!! Dodge 727 Transmission Swap to 518 Transmission from PATC, 46RE 47RE 48RE

what transfercase is in the dodge?

do you need to change the adaper or transfercase?

novak and advance adapters do not appear to make an adapter for the trans. if this is the case you will need to get the trans and transfer case together and replace them as a unit

If you do a google search, Hot Rod magazine covered a similar swap for a dodge van. Same idea, had alot of helpful info on the swap and the little pieces needed for a successful swap.

I had thought of doing this swap, but I decided I would rather have a Cummins instead, and its a different setup.

Until then, I will continue to keep the fuel gods happy
