The stakes are about 5 foot and the wood is overlapping 2x6s bolted to the stakes. I burned up a couple drill bits drilling all the holes. There's probably not enough info on the weasel to start a thread. It just a project that I started a long time ago and haven't finished.

Your M211 bed boards are super good looking. Functional as well. Our Weasel stories sound about the same except yours looks a lot nicer than mine.

This new G749 just joined Gizmo's family and will be known, this day forward, as Groot.....something about a movie character I haven't seen so maybe some of you younger viewers know whom they speak of. She's missing the Data Plate so the hunt is on for a blank M211CDN plate.....or one with this number already stamped on it, with the correct delivery date.

With some luck, Groot, Gizmo, Gander and Goose will be at an airshow coming up so watch for updates.

1952 XM211 -6215- just got it a couple weeks ago.
History I know of, went to Korea, then came state side to drive Marines around. Then local fire department, Orcas Island, used it as a tank truck.

M135 I spotted @ the military vehicle museum in Houston, TX. 90% of their vehicles are member owned, tagged, & fully functional.

If you have a change to visit the museum I highly recommend it. They have all kinds of military vehicles from mechanical mules to HEMTTs to M114s to functional helicopters
