Just to confirm to understanding of the Injector pump. I have a steady leak, its origin is the throttle shaft seal on the Injector pump. I realized a loss of mileage per tank, and chased it to here. Is their an option to fix the seal or is this time for a new pump? truck is an 86 1031 maintenance, 20k miles.
Thanks for any help or input.2cents

I recommend swapping the bushings in the pump housing around as well. All the ones I have done had a spot you could see starting to ware in the bushing. They are easy to remove with the proper size punch. Drive them out , turn them around and reinstall. The o ring rides off center so when you install the new o ring it will be on a unworn part of the bushing.

They can be done on the truck but chances are the IP is worn as well. They are cheap enough to have rebuilt. I use Accurate Diesel.
