Title a deuce in Wisconsin lately?

Are any of you fellow Wisconsinites having trouble registering or licensing your M35's? Specifically, since last September or whenever WISDOT supposedly stopped acknowledging any new MV's as "road-worthy"? There's a lot of deuces coming out of Fort McCoy, they all can't be going out-of-state right?

I bought my Deuce from a guy in Wisconsin and it had a South Dakota title, I sent in my title and $301 for collector plates and a few weeks later I got my new Wisconsin title in the mail. This was late September last year.

That is somewhat reassuring. I'm still curious about all those deuces out there that are fresh from GL and haven't been titled before.

Boy that lessens the worry a bit. I am VERY eager to get my first deuce, and this is the only thing that has worried me. Now I guess it's time to forge ahead, hopefully it's that easy for me to get title and license. Thanks!

Hello Wisconsin Owners,
I am Paul Underwood from Blue Mounds, WI. This topic interests me, because my registration got cancelled last Sept. for my Pinzgauer, and antique Austrian ex-mil truck. I'd been registered for over 5 years!!

They didn't cancel the registration on my Deuce and 1/2.

I'd like to talk to you.

I have a hearing scheduled for July 14 with the Dept. Of Admin. Div. of Hearings and Appeals.

WisDOT is talking statute 341.10(6). This is a statute for "off-highway" vehicles. NOT OUR TRUCKS.

This is a change of policy which WisDOT made in late '06, without legislative change. It probably does not pass muster, legally.

DMV has tried this before. I'm trying to get my registration reinstated. I was in the Isthmus newspaper several weeks ago, and on Ch. 27 & 47 news the next weekend. We have a website set up to give more info. It's being updated with current changes. It's at: http://www.wisconsin-pinzgauers.org/

Below is the list of evidence which I submitted for my hearing, FYI

Regulatory Agencies acting with no more authority than "just because we can" has never sat well with the American public. Remember, this country was founded because Americans have never been happy with "because we can" as justification for Governmental Actions... we didn't stand for it then and we should not stand for that kind of behavior now. They will only get this if we scream loudly at them.

Please PM me or call (608) 437-3465.

Thanks,
Paul

Titling/registering a Duece with Historic Military Plates is no problem. Did it myself with a m35a3 out of Ft Mcoy just recently, (middle of Feb.) Didn't take more than 7 day's after I sent my info in via Certified, Return recipt requested, mail..... Now, do I wish I could register this differently? farm, truck, collector,RV? Yes, I do.
