Yeah, like everyone said, disconnect the rear driveshaft. I'm probably going to have my brother in law tow mine from Barstow with his flat bed tow truck. The convience of having a family member with a Flat Bed.

A rubber mallet shouldn't hurt it.

Take a wire brush to it before you do anything. A lot of the rust, grime, and accumulated crap should come right off.
