Toys For Tots 2016 Events

It's time to kick-off the 2016 Toys For Tots campaign planning and reporting.

Much like last year's thread http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?140730-Toys-For-Tots-2015-Events we wish great success upon all who work so hard to do this for the kids who are the ultimate recipients of these blessings.

Here's to a record-setting 2016 TFT Effort ! ! !

On Tuesday we had our first SPONTANEOUS T-F-T event here in San Angelo.
The local venue that has in the past supported us with the proceeds from "big name" concerts they've hosted surprised us with a call. The show that evening would be in support of T-F-T and they were suggesting a $10/head cover charge - all of which would be donated.
All totaled - cover PLUS cash donations - $4300.00 was raised !!!
(And we volunteers did nothing to organize for it!)

God is already blessing our 2016 Events!

In addition to that good news, my new OPERATOR'S LICENSE has been "created", laminated and is now in my wallet....

It's fun having little kids (and big ones too) sneaking peeks in my direction and wondering if Santa really does spend his summers in TEXAS !

And I have fun engaging with them, fully playing the role.
