has anyone every heard of dying a tarp / want to change color / mine in camo and i want a solid color

I have been wondering the same thing. I would imagin that paint would flake off, but don't know about dye either.

1) What kinda shape is yours in?
2) What type camo is it?
3) What solid color you looking for?
I just picked up a trailer with a solid green top ... in pretty good shape ... I'm painting my truck 383 green (no camo) ... so a woodland camo pattern wouldn't be bad.
I'd be sorely temped to consider a trade ... but you're WAY north of me. I'm in north Georgia between Chattanooga and Atlanta.
Your best bet is probably to buy what you want ... and sell the one you got.

I painted a tan vinyl top that I had on a M105 and it looked really good. I painted it with 24087 spray cans. I have since got the correct top in green and gave the other to a friend. The top will wear faster if left outside. It still looks pretty good, but will need touchup every now and then.

I have painted 3 with Gillispie. Good results. Clean with thinner, do not use hardner, use extra thinner.

You can also mix in a flexing agent like what they use on plastic to add some elasticity to the paint.
