Next issue with my M936A1 is shifting the transfer case. It currently is in low range. I am going to need to drive this thing to my home shortly and need tips and tricks on how to shift from one range to another.

I read through a few threads that say to try fanning the brakes to reduce pressure in the front axle engagement solenoid to help ease the engagement of high range. This procedure did not work on my truck. I don't hear the solenoid actuating when I depress the button on the shift lever.

Any suggestions to try and get this thing to change ranges?

Thanks for the info.

There are numerous threads on this subject.

http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?76019-M-923-Transfer-case-not-shifting

I just pulled these two from the bottom of this page.

If you can't find the info you need in the other threads, it's best to post on them instead of starting yet another thread with the same issue.

With all that being said, completely drain your air tanks with the truck not running. It should shift then.
