Quick question seeing as how the crankshaft dampener pulley bolt is so close to the radiator and fan on these, how are you all turning over the engine by hand to get things lined up for fuel injection pump work? Any info is much appreciated!!

Are we just putting the transfer case in neutral and transmission in first gear and turning it over via flywheel and prybar or driveshaft?

Turning by hand will not make them start. They are like every other "dumb" diesel. Fuel, air and RPM. You will get fuel, but no where near the atomization needed, air, yeah, but RPM, unless you are Steve Austin and have bionic powers, you ain't gonna get the 150-200 RPM needed to make the squeeze happen to ignite what go juice gets into the cylinder.

Remember, compression ignition.
