This is my third, but the first time, GL did not provide the year of manufacture, also the first that is not an AM General.

Maintenance battalion, eh? I guess maybe that's why its in such well maintained shape. =). I can also say that it must have "belonged" to a MSGT Johnson, as on the windshield, just above the dash on the driver's side I can see where there used to be lettering that said his name.

The unit code would be for a former Army unit that no longer exsists. That unit probably shut down after the cold war died out. I have nothing to cross reference the unit code to find out what the actual unit name was or where it was located. Sorry.

A company is in Emporia KS , I was in C Co in Lenexa Ks, each tank company had 2 Duces, (they were turned in this spring), one was the motor daddy's truck and the other was the supply MSR truck. We are still an armor Co ,M1A1 but started in 1984 as a slick M60 unit. We used to be with the 35th I and changed to the 40th I in 1999 I think when we got the M1 tank. We were the last Tank Battalion to ride the M60A3 rise, M1911 45 pistols and my favorite M3A1 grease guns. This Sept my former company changed to Co C 2-137CAB ,Combined Arms Battalion, and A Co were changed to Co D 2-137 CAB, A & B Co's are the legs. They have not been attached to a Div as of today.
