WC axles 1/2 -3/4 ton. Are they the same?

Are the axles for 1/2 and a 3/4 ton WC the same?
How about the engines?

The axles may look the same externally but pull the shafts and the 3/4 are larger diameter. I think they both used the 230 engine if I remember correctly.

1/2 tons use 217 cid engines if memory serves. 230s appeared with the 3/4t and continued through M37.
