weak brakes

I was intending to drive the truck home but...
It has about 1" of pedal before it hits the floor and doesn't change with pumping. I checked the master cylinder and it was full. Air pressure was good. Do you think air in the lines is the problem or something more serious? The truck has been sitting for many months. I'm not near this truck so I want to be prepared next time I'm there. Thanks

The brakes need to be adjusted...only 25 adjustments, plus two more on the Ebrake.... If you are not near the truck you should be studying the manuals each and every waking moment...until you are...
