Weak horn

Is it normal for the horn to sound really weak in these? Sounds like a go cart or squeeze horn on a kids bicycle quiet.

Mine sounded like someone driving over a cat when I got it. Just replace the silly thing. I have friends who have installed air horns from deuces in them but then you need an air tank and a compressor. I installed a Federal Signal system out of a cop car that has an air horn sound along with a PA and the ability to play the radio through the speaker. It bolted right up to the same bracket as the original horn.

Put one of these in the old girl today. At $70 dollars for a stock one, I figured $140 for this one was a no brainer. posted in wrong place

I put this in mine today. I just used vampire taps and the existing horn bolts to mount them. It made a huge difference and doesn't sound anemic anymore.
