I'm trying to identify what these tools are for.
I have a couple of tools I received from my father after he passed. He had a vehicle repair station in the mid 1950's to the mid 1960's. He told me he worked on all kinds of vehicles from motorcycles to tractor-trailers.
These were located in one of his big tool boxes. I never seen them before so I never could ask him what they were for.
From what I could find on the web says they are anywhere from parallel jaw plies for electrical work to leather belt pliers (round leather belt?). That's well and good, but how are they used? I've done leather work in my younger days and can't figure out what they do or ho they do it.
The writing on it says, "Sargent & Co. New Haven, Conn. Made In U.S.A."
Anyone know what these are used for or how these are used?
Thanks for any help!
