What Batteries do I need?

Hi all,

Obviously I am new to owning a MV, this is my first. I drove them when I was in the USMC from 1980-1988 but never had to service or repair them. I just bought a 1971 M35A2 which needs quite a bit of work which will require picking some brains in these forums. Am looking forward to it. The body is in pretty good condition and seems to be complete. First of all it doesn't have any batteries. I was looking for specifications on what CCA requirements I need but can't seem to find anything. While looking I found this site and jumped right in. I know I need to get 2 12 volt batteries but what is required?? I would appreciate any advice.

Well 6TL are the "stock" units but really any 1000 amp will work. I Had two 1100 Amp Die hard in mine and they worked great.

Go to Walmart and get 2 batteries that are 1000 amps or more. Keep your reciept and take them back when and if they die.
